A Kindle Revelation

September 23, 2010
I'd just finished reading a couple books on the Kindle and picked up a paperback to read next and flicked to the first page and started to read. Then I thought, "Dammit, why is the font so small?"

Yes, these eyes are almost 47 years old.

OMG, I know! I picked up a book, and MAN. They really squeeze that font as tiny as they can. I understand it's to save printing costs, but whew! It's even worse with the classics. I have a translation of Les Miserables I love that's not available on Kindle, but... it's too small! I swear it feels like it 8pt!

But you can enlarge the font? Right?
I just ordered one for my husband's birthday. I think it will be great for his trips.
I refuse to get bifocals because I think they will make me dizzy and I already have the problem from a car accident a few years ago.
So I take a pair of reading glasses and put them on over my regular glasses. Not too weird, right?
